Same color as the salon...not the same resultsI was so excited to try e-salon and loved the in-depth and visual process of choosing a hair color. I felt my choosing my color would be pretty straight forward as I contacted my local salon stylist for specific color information, as I was unable to see her due to covid-19. I chose the same color (level 3)...darkest brown...almost looks black. I was so delighted when I got my box and loved the instructions and ease of preparation. I applied it as directed to my roots mainly as to cover up my growth, which is lighter than my desired color and rest of my hair. After washing and drying my hair, I was so disappointed to see that my roots had not seemed to change color and were still lighter than my desired color. It seemed that possibly this level 3 was too light for me? I’m unsure. I am planning to go to the salon to have it properly covered up. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

I was Petrified of doing my hairDue to the COVID and salons closed, I had to get rid of the greys in my hair. I spent endless hours studying videos and never dyed my own hair. Since I am a dark blond, I also do low lights and highlights on my hair and I have an amazing stylist that has done my hair for several years. I tried it for the first time, and the match was perfect and my hair was so incredibly soft and shiny. I would give myself a solid B, but I plan on perfecting it with the next round of color. Color is perfect!I admit to great trepidation about coloring my own hair, something I've never done before, but this worked really well. The actual color was exactly my color and although all of the gray wasn't covered due to my own learning curve, it was amazingly better. My hair is very dark and this took care of the skunk stripe at my part. I thought the actual process was pretty messy and I didn't love that, but that is NOT the fault of the product. Works well.I really enjoyed the product. Application was relatively easy. It covers well, the color was vibrant and clean. Two small negatives, the dye was pretty smelly. Bye bye salonI was terrified of this product, but so depressed over the gray that I had to do something. I ordered my product, the colorist emailed me to explain the process and make sure all my questions were answered. Within three days I had my box and on Saturday I started the process. The coverage was dark as it was explained to me I could only go darker not lighter. I had to keep going at that point and followed the instructions exactly not knowing what I would get. After application, rinse, application of color enhancer and final rinse did I see my results. Spectacular! OMG! My highlights are still there and the colors yes colors, are amazing.
