PERFECT EVERY TIME!Before I found E-Salon, I went to a professional salon three times for my color. It turned out absolutely horrible. I asked for a golden light brown with a hint of copper highlights, and my hair turned out to be pure orange. The next time I went another so-called pro and she made my hair a purplish-red.. another catastrophe! And, the next time I worked with a third so-called 'color expert' and this time my hair color turned out to be a deep burgundy. I just hated my hair. Even my doctor looked at me and said, 'What on earth did you do to your hair color?" That is when I decided to either go back to using color in a box which never worked well for me or to try E-Salon. I decided to give E-Salon a try. I have dyed my hair three times now using E-Salon's custom hair color. The first time I told my colorist I wanted to calm down the burgundy color and make it more coppery. It worked exactly right. The second time I asked for their lightest brown with a little golden hues in it. I got EXACTLY what I wanted! Well, today was the third time I used E-Salon color going with a repeat of my last order, and I love it even more this time than the last. I have learned a lot about hair coloring from E-Salon. Their instructions really are different than color in a box. When I do my final three to five minute rinse through my hair ends by combining the leftover color in the applicator with water, it really does blend the ends beautifully. This is a step I never did before and I really believe this is key to make my all over color blend so well. I cannot thank E-Salon colorists enough for their expertise and for always being here to help me if I need anything at all. I will always stay with E-Salon going forward!! Blood RedI love the way this product leaves my hair feeling. I just can't get the color red enough. I really wanted a vibrant red. This one was somewhat lighter but still looks like a lighter brownish purple... 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Short lived coverageI was disappointed that my grey roots ended up lighter than the rest of my hair. After just two weeks the grey color went to light brown grey which was worse than the gray roots I started with. I found the ammonia to be overwhelming. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Too Dark!I sent pics and looked at the pics online but the color was too dark. I normally purchase medium ash brown Clairol Root touch up for in between salon styling. But the esalon medium ash brown was DARK ASH brown. Very disappointed. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

The color match is spot on.I really like the color, the match is perfect. The packaging and tools are great, the shampoo/conditioner is great but I think that the gray coverage is not the best. I last colored 9 days ago and there are little grays re-emerging right along the front hair line right at my forehead. Additionally, the color seems quite drying. This isn't a huge issue as I can deep condition as needed but still an issue since I have used store bought box colors that actually improved the overall condition. I like that I can color my hair whenever I want to.The color match is almost perfect. I do have an issue though; the color doesn’t cover my grey around the edges and it doesn’t last like salon color. InadequateThis is the second time I’ve tried Esalon in the last six years. Both times I’ve wanted all over color and both times they only sent me root touchup color. Off a Few ShadesI was embarrassed when I saw the color. It was not what I expected and I tried hard to make sure that I provided pictures and information to get the right shade or very close to it. I just talked with a representative and they are sending me a highlighter kit and the next color free, so I am trying to see what happens, but I am discouraged that it's so much darker than I expected. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
