Fooled The Hair SalonI wanted a solution that was going to look great and cover my fairy floss (aka gray hair) on top. This product did a really good job. I previously had highlights that were grown out in my hair and colorist sent two formulas: 1.) One for roots with more brown and 2.) One for the ends with less brown. This ensured that the bleached part didn't get too dark and made the color even all over. It's really held up well and I'm on my 9th week or so. I got my hair cut at a really high end salon where they are all Redken certified colorists. The girl who cut my hair loved the color and couldn't believe that I got it from an at home kit. From the packaging to the thought behind every detail, this is the way to go to get beautiful color without the salon pricing! Color is amazing!So easy to pull off, I panicked because as it processed it appeared to be getting super dark (it wasn't), I love the color it's not brassy at all and no hot roots this time around!!! Much too DarkThe first 2 months my color was much too dark brown and does not look good with my light complexion and green eyes. I'm almost afraid to try again. But I will give them one more try to get it right. I NEED MORE AUBURN!!!!!!!!!!! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

too darkby looking at the picture guideline, DARK BROWN (PEARL COPPER) - 4.24, the model shows a bit of copper color. I looked at the description and noticed that it had a dark brown base but thought that with the addition of the copper color it wouldn't be soo dark, it doesn't show soo dark on the model... The color itself that I got is a nice color, just a few shades darker than I expected - to me it is almost between a dark brown and almost black. Not quite my colorI finally used my color kit. It has good instructions, & I think the product is good. I wanted to cover my gray hair mostly, but didn't want to darken my natural color. I am somewhat disappointed that my med blonde turned out too dark -- almost brown. I don't want this color again. I guess I'm not med. blonde, but lighter.
