Inconsistent colorMy first color was dark. I understand it is difficult to know where to start based upon photo, but I went from dirty blond to my granddaughter (who is medium brown) calling me “her hair twin!” My color was adjusted and the next application was nearly strawberry blond. The third and most recent adjustment resulted in light brown with reddish tint. As I emphatically started with the desire to avoid red or green (I’ve experienced both in past salons), I guess the twinning my dark-haired granddaughter was odd, but best. Uneven color- waxy residueThis product is terrible! I've dyed my hair many times from home. This dye gave my hair the strangest texture, and it actually lightened my roots instead of darkening them, then darkened the middle... ugh. nightmare. Rinsing out in the shower was so awful, my hair clumped into a giant waxy mess, even after clarifying shampoo. Buyer beware! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Home Hair Dye RevolutionThis is a great home hair dye product. I have always used shop brought kits and have always found that I'm running out of dye as I have thick long hair. Not with Esalon dye, in fact I had lots to spare. The kit is packaged beautifully and a real treat to receive in the post. The colour is the prefect match to the colour ordered as I know this can always be a worry when ordering things online. Its easy to mix and goes on well and does not drip like some shop brought products. The only thing I found is it is a little tricky to wash out and did take two washes, next time I will ensure I wash for longer on the first go.
