Easy to work with - phenomenal resultsI am not a hair person! I just don't know how to do all that stuff but I'm telling you this was almost as easy as washing your hair, the results though were well beyond what I had ever expected, my Daughter who does know what she's doing had dyed my hair red I didn't want to do the upkeep of it so wanted to go back brown, well I've done this before at the salon and it's never easy because they can't take you from red back to brown in one process. Well shame on them because eSalon took me there no problem! I have a lot of grey now that I did not have then as well. I recommend this very much. My hair is RUINED!!!As I previously wrote, each adjustment for my dirty blonde natural hair keeps making it more and more orange. I literally had to do a hair strip which I've never done... that made my hair even more orange. I had to reapply the demi and its a bit better but horrific at the same time. Your last response you said you saw that I spoke with the stylist and resolved the issues but I still have many charges on my account and so far I hate everything I used. My friend recommended eSalon since my virgin hair had a few grays. Now my hair is completely ruined. I've lost so much trust in the company, stylists take too long to respond and I've contacted you 4x now asking for my money back and I never get a response. Our instructions recommend a patch test before applying the Color Set so you can test your skin's tolerance to the ingredients. We do offer gentler formulas such as Ammonia-free Permanent and Demi Permanent, too. I'm glad our customer service team was able to assist you. |
Very disappointing experience with my custom colorI have used eSalon because I trusted their personalized colorist service, but my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I specifically requested a color that would be slightly lighter than my previous formula, with the long-term goal of gradually transitioning toward a medium blonde. I had also been doing highlights approximately every six weeks for several months to gradually achieve this lighter result. Instead, the new formula I received made my roots noticeably darker, completely opposite to the direction I requested. I applied the color only to my roots, yet while rinsing, the pigment ran through my hair and visibly darkened my blonde highlights as well. This has set back months of gradual lightening. I can no longer use the highlighting formula I purchased because I am concerned the contrast would be far too strong. Even more concerning, I experienced significant burning and discomfort on my scalp during the application, something I had never experienced with my previous eSalon colors. The burning stopped after rinsing, but my scalp remained dry, tight, and itchy for several days. I also noticed that the amount of developer provided appeared unusually small, and the mixed formula was extremely thin and watery compared with my previous eSalon colors. I have contacted eSalon and requested a complimentary color correction and a proper solution for the scalp irritation, along with professional guidance for the hair shedding and damage I noticed following this coloring. I am very disappointed because I carefully followed the instructions and had spent months gradually working toward a lighter blonde. Instead, I feel that I have been moved several steps backward and am now dealing with both an unwanted color result and scalp irritation. I hope eSalon takes responsibility for this situation and provides a complimentary color correction and appropriate scalp-care solution, rather than requiring me to spend additional money fixing the problem. 8 of 8 people found this review helpful.
